Conformational plasticity of the ULK3 kinase domain

چکیده

The human protein kinase ULK3 regulates the timing of membrane abscission, thus being involved in exosome budding and cytokinesis. Herein, we present first high-resolution structures domain. Its unique features are explored against background other ULK kinases. An inhibitor fingerprint indicates that is highly druggable capable adopting a wide range conformations. In accordance with this, describe conformational switch between active an inactive conformation, controlled by properties attached small-molecule binder. Finally, discuss potential substrate-recognition mechanism full-length protein.
